Welcome
This blog is for the main purpose of showcasing what we are accomplishing in Okeechobee County through the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) grant. We are very excited about the new technologies that were introduced to our classrooms and the enormous amount of professional development that we are receiving. We will be posting thoughts, comments, ideas, suggestions, and experiences from the classroom, here on our Blog. Please come back on a regular basis to catch up on what we are doing.

Well I have been having great fun in my new interactive classroom. The students seem to love the MIMIO board and being actively involved in the learning process. We have used Audacity and their faces were funny when they heard themselves for the first time. Today, Oct. 23 2008 was our first round on the laptops (FINALLY). We used Pixie to create pages for our Class Dictionary. The kids were having a blast but in 2nd grade I did lots of repetition and more hands on helping. Hopefully practice makes perfection.
